Minnesota-based Hormel launch its new "oven ready" bacon this week, the bacon comes packaged in an oven safe tray that you can simply put in a preheated oven and cook for 20+ minutes (time depends on how crispy you want your bacon), and when you're done, just toss the tray in the garbage.
No more cleaning up grease in a pan, or wasting tin foil from cooking in the oven, this tray is ready to roll after removing the outer wrapping. There is also the added benefit of not having to touch raw meat.
The new Hormel Black Label Oven Ready Bacon is available now at select retailers across the nation, with plans to expand the availability in 2025.
Aly Sill, senior bacon brand manager for Hormel, says, "As a brand that's always been at the forefront of bacon innovation... Our Oven Safe Tray delivers eight perfectly cooked slices, every single time."
Hormel has been busy in their research and development department, not only are they dropping this bomb on the bacon world, but they've also launched ranch and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored bacon in the last several months. Makes me wonder what they got up their sleeve next?
