Minnesota Named One Of 2023’s Most Fun States
Well, this is random! Minnesota was just named one of the most fun states in America for 2023. While Minnesota didn't come in the top slot, it did crack the top ten, coming in at number nine. Most don't think of us when they think of fun, at least not right away.
That is about to change thanks to a recent study from WalletHub. According to their study, for some states like Minnesota, fun "is just a way of life" and not just an option. I guess Minnesota is fun but do I think it is in the top ten states for fun? Probably not.
The study concocted the list based on things like restaurants per capita, movie theaters per capita and many other venues per capita like golf courses, country clubs, fitness centers and the like. They also looked at skiing facilities per capita, marinas, access to national parks and more.
When put in this perspective, I guess you could say Minnesota is pretty fun! Minnesota has the third most performing arts theaters per capita in the country, and the fourth most arts, entertainment and recreation establishments in the country.
When you look at those things, it makes sense that Minnesota is "fun" even though some may not think so in the most general sense of the word. As for Wisconsin, which I sort of think is more fun than Minnesota, it came in at number seventeen. I thought it would have been higher!
As always, you have to take these studies at face value but Minnesota has been killing it lately. Last year, Minnesota was named one of the best states to live in and the year prior, was named one of the safest states to live in.
