Perhaps I AM asking too much but I gotta say, I can't stand it when I'm driving down 2nd Street in Rochester (By St. Mary's) and I'm in the left lane. There's a car in front of me, moving right along with the traffic but then....RIGHT when they get up to the stop light, they turn on their turn signal to make a left. I would say, 99% of the time, the person in front of me waits till they've stopped to turn on their signal. Heaven forbid you turn it on a block or so away to give ample warning to the person(s) behind you that, "Hey, just letting you guys know, I'm gonna be turning up here in about a block so you might want to get over in the right lane so you can keep flowing around me." But Noooooooo. They'll wait till the last possible second to let everyone know behind them that, "Hey, I'm gonna be an a**hole and back up traffic for a couple blocks by turning on my signal at the VERY last second and make this left hand turn."

It's not so bad during the mid day but right around the time when everybody is just getting done with work is when it's really bad. You've got buses picking up people in the right lane and Mr. or Mrs. A**hole in the left lane just waiting to spring it on you that, "Oh crap! I'm turning!"

Is it too much to ask for a turn lane right down the middle of the road? Is it do-able? At least in THAT part in the picture. Probably not. Guess I could find another route....perhaps with turn lanes.
