
Investigation Ordered After Horse Killed Near Mazeppa
Mazeppa, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Wabasha County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in identifying those responsible for shooting and killing a horse.
The incident was reported last Thursday afternoon at a rural property near Mazeppa. A news release issued Monday afternoon indicates a person helping the owner of the horse care for the animal called the Sheriff's Office after discovering the dead horse in a field.
The person had checked on the horse Wednesday evening. Officials say it was killed by a single gunshot to the head.
