I'll admit, we used to get a little rowdy at those theaters. We would sneak in beer and make loud comments during the movie. Our group got yelled at by adults a couple of times, but nothing really happened.

We could never get away with behavior like that these days. We would get kicked out, banned, and maybe even arrested. Even worse, some angry dude would try to come after us. Times sure have changed.

A man in Illinois was arrested for battery at a movie theater. I can only imagine what set him off. The funny thing is that this is a nice theater in a good area. Plus, the suspect is in his 60s, so he should know better.

According to Patch...

Delbert T. Patterson, 62, of Chicago, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Classic Cinemas Theatre, 150 N. York St., on a charge of aggravated battery in a public place of amusement.

He was released.
