For 4 weeks, I waited. "This is gonna be their year. I can feel it!" I said to myself....every day. Living in Minnesota, a Packer fan like me, doesn't get to see too many pre-season games. But, what I DID see, I was pretty impressed. The defense looked pretty good. Hell, even the 2nd and 3rd string looked good. I thought, "Well, Dom Capers has come around and actually became a defensive coordinator. This is gonna be their year."

Then last night happened.

I don't think the Packers could have beaten a college team the way they played. The defense was awful. The O-line was terrible (Although the new Center, Corey Linsley, looked really good for his FIRST NFL game with one hiccup) Rodgers couldn't catch a break. He looked rusty. But that's what pre-season is for!!!! To help shake the rust off! Lacy looked terrible. The guy is big enough to bowl over anyone that gets in his way. WHY ON EARTH does he all of a sudden do this "stutter step" thing once he gets the ball? Where did THAT come from!?!? He had a great run where he got stood up by a defender but still kept going (and he DIDN'T stutter step on that play)

I told myself that I wasn't gonna get mad and yell and scream at my TV anymore. But wouldn't you know it, right from the beginning, I was yelling. I yelled all the way up to the 2 minute warning....and that's when I shut it off and went for a ride (had to run an errand) and on my way back home, 3 deer jump out in front of me and one of them ends up hitting the side of my truck. I ended up turning around and going back to see if it was okay because I thought I ran over it's noggin. When I came back to "the scene" it was gone. That's a lucky deer. I though he was a goner. If you happen to see a deer with a smashed in head walking around, that was me. Tell it I said hi.

Anyway, It sucks when your team loses....and loses bad. It just throws off the rest of the day & night. But, I'll get over it. There's always next week. Next week, they play the Jets at home. I have a feeling if they LOSE that game too, I will be looking for a new TV and some deer to smash......this time, on purpose.

***side note*** I will not really run over a deer.
