I Hate Goodbyes

Well, another NFL season is about to close. I know there are still games left but it's hard to say goodbye.

More on the "goodbyes" in a minute.

My beloved Packers play the Bears this weekend. This could be the final game of the season for the Pack. I say "could be" because Aaron Rodgers hasn't played in WEEKS and could be a little rusty. Everybody is expecting the Pack to win but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Defense has been terrible all year. My Sunday Facebook rants are usually of the "WHY DOES DOM CAPERS STILL HAVE A JOB!?!?!" variety. Not to mention, our BEST defensive guy is hurt. I don't think this is going to be a cake walk for the Packers. Cutler.....is Cutler.....He's the Eli Manning....no wait....he's the Tony Romo of the NFL. If he's HOT, he's on fire.....if he's cold....well, you've seen what he can do.

It's not that he's terrible.....I've seen worse. I just hope that he doesn't get hot at the right time. Unlike a few of my friends, I can't guarantee a victory for the Packers on Sunday.....it'd be nice....sure...but I can't go that far.

Now, what to do when the season DOES end? It's never an easy time. It's always in the SUPER cold time of the year. When you have to be cooped up in the house because it's too cold to go anywhere. If the Packers DO NOT make it, I will probably still watch the Super Bowl....Unless it's The Patriots and Seahawks..or worse yet, the 49ers. Then I couldn't bring myself to watch that. ICK! There are 2 quarterbacks I can't stand watching. Colin Kaepernick and Tom Brady. I don't know why. Brady is an AMAZING QB and seems to have very little ego. Kaepernick...well, he's ALL ego......no rings. Russell Wilson, meh. Got nothing against him....I think because he's so damn good.

Who knows. All I can say is that it sucks when the entire season is over. It's boring. Waiting around.....trying to stay warm and not having football. Happens every year. The football season goes by so quick but the....weather season drrraaaaaaggggggssssss on forever. I guess there are some bright spots. We've got Saving Abel coming up Feb. 15th....then maybe some more shows after that. I guess, when you look at it that way, as long as there are shows to keep me occupied after football and get us closer to Spring and Summer.....then it's not all that bad.
