Who would have thought that drinking beer might actually be good for the environment?

For years, we've been told about, and seen first-hand, how the plastic holders for six-packs of beer and pop are downright dangerous to sea animals when those plastic rings of death get into the ocean. But now an environmentally-friendly six-pack packaging product has come to light.

Made from wheat and barley that's left over from the beer-brewing process, these six-pack holders can actually nourish the ocean's bounty and cut down on pollution. The packaging is not only biodegradable, but it's also edible for sea life!

Wouldn't it be nice to know that finishing off a six-pack of your favorite beer could also mean saving a sea turtle? I just hope we see these come into mass production soon, because I feel that it's my duty to save as many sea turtles as possible - one six-pack at a time!
