He's been known for making some brash statements during his career and Charles Barkley did it again during the Final Four activities here in Minnesota.

Sir Charles, as he's been called, pretty much insulted Minnesota. And then, in a somewhat typical Minnesota Nice way, the crowd booed him off the stage. And it all went down right here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

According to this USA Today story, Charles made an appearance at the Capital One JamFest at the Armory in Minneapolis on Sunday night. JamFest was the series of free concerts in Minneapolis all leading up to the Final Four weekend. Sunday's show featured Katy Perry and Zedd.

Sir Charles happened to hop up on-stage to say a few words, but when he mentioned the Timberwolves-- and how they haven't been, uh, all that good lately-- the crowd didn't take too kindly to him.

USA Today has the exact words Charles said: "I want to thank Minneapolis, Minnesota. You guys have a great, great city. I want to thank y'all for a great weekend. I haven't been here for a long time because the Timberwolves suck!"

It was then that the boo's started-- as Charles stood there with a somewhat surprised look on his face.  Because, even if, as we all know, the Timberwolves HAVE pretty much sucked this year, as a visitor to Minnesota, you can't SAY that. (Well, you can-- but look what happens!)
