President Trump has ordered the nation's flags to be lowered to half-staff over the next three days. He explained why on Twitter with his first tweet saying, "I will be lowering the flags on all Federal Buildings and National Monuments to half-staff over the next three days in memory of the Americans we have lost to the CoronaVirus." The President then tweeted, "the flags will be at half-staff in honor of the men and women in our Military who have made the Ultimate Sacrifice for our Nation."

Minnesota's flags will be lowered to half-staff on the 19th of each month for the rest of the year. Earlier this week, Gov. Tim Walz issued that order to remember Covid-19 victims. Nearly 100,000 Americans have died since March because of the coronavirus.
