Potential for Heavy Snow on Friday Increasing in Southeast Minnesota
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A winter storm has remained on track for heavy snow to fall in southeast Minnesota on Friday and into Saturday morning.

NWS Expecting Upwards of 8+ Inches of Snow for Parts of Southeast Minnesota
The National Weather Service has a Winter Storm Watch in effect for much of the area as it forecasts between 3 to 5 inches of snow to fall during the day Friday and another 4 to 8 inches of snow possible Friday night into Saturday morning.
A band of heavy snow is expected, and as of Thursday morning, forecasts are expecting 5 to 12 inches of snow. The National Weather Service is giving Rochester about a 64% chance of having 8+ inches of snow by the time the winter storm passes through.
The Winter Storm Watch from the NWS says that morning snow on Friday could create tough traveling conditions throughout the day.
