I heard about this through a friend last month and thought, "What the hell, why not?" So, we booked it with a few friends and we had a blast. I had really only been to one of the local microbreweries, Kinney Creek Brewery. On the trolley, we hit all four of the local ones.

  • Forager Brewing Company
  • LTS Brewing Company
  • Kinney Creek Brewery
  • Grand Rounds Brew Pub

Of course, we had to bring a cooler along on the ride. You know, for when we want a beer in-between drinking beer. Started the day off with some Pearl St. Brewery Java Lava. A great coffee beer brewed in LaCrosse, WI. Also, had to have some Farm Girl from Lift Bridge Brewing Co. in Stillwater, MN. Another great beer that I highly recommend.

The first stop on the tour was at Forager Brewing Company. I think we missed a sample there, but they've got some great local beer and the atmosphere is pretty good, too. There was a good-sized crowd there on our stop, but plenty of room for everyone.

While we were there, we got to tour the brewery. Brewing is certainly an interesting process.

Needless to say, we LOVE beer.

Next stop, LTS Brewing Company.  Again, a great atmosphere and the bartenders are very attentive. If you're looking to get out of a beer rut, they've got plenty on tap to choose from. I couldn't tell you the names of any of the beers we sampled because, by then, I had a pretty good buzz on.

Our third stop on the trolley microbrewery tour was Kinney Creek Brewery. This is one of my favorite places to stop. A great staff that knows their stuff when it comes to beer and brewing it.

The final stop on the tour was Grand Rounds Brew Pub. Of course, after all that beer drinking, we were feeling a little hungry so we ordered some food. One word: amazing. The staff was fast, even though they were pretty busy, we got our beer flight on time and our food was quick to the table.

I've looked on the Trolley Tours website but last I checked, they do not have another beer tour scheduled. I know that we're not going to wait around for them to do it again. We'll just get ourselves a DD and hit all four again. This time, I'll sip, in moderation, so I can remember the names of the beers. Or better yet, do it yourself. You'll have a blast.
