Guilty of Killing Minnesota Woman While Driving on Drugs
Litchfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Michigan woman has admitted to felony charges stemming from a deadly traffic crash that occurred in central Minnesota last year while she was driving high on drugs.
29-year-old Noelle Pridgen has pleaded guilty to one count of criminal vehicular homicide and three counts of criminal vehicular operation in Meeker County court. Court records show tests indicated she had ingested cocaine and marijuana before the deadly wreck last April 15th near Litchfield.
Pridgen drove through a stop sign and smashed into another vehicle, which burst into flames. 36-year-old Christina Crottier became trapped in the wreckage and died after efforts to free her from the burning vehicle failed. Her husband and two young children suffered serious injuries as did Pridgen and her passenger.
She is scheduled to be sentenced on March 27th.
