Free Rochester Downtown Ramp Parking Continues Thru December 31st
Shopping local is important every year, but this year especially as businesses teeter-totter on the brink of losing so much business they can't stay afloat. Free downtown ramp parking is just one more incentive to shopping local.
Here's how it works. You can get free three-hour-parking in Rochester's Downtown ramps. Just get a voucher from the store or stores you visit. Present them when you leave the ramp and, like you're Mariah Carey, they'll say have a nice day and thank you so much! (At least that's what I assume they'd say to a mega-star with free parking vouchers.)
Supplies of vouchers are limited and will expire December 31, 2020.
Holly Masek, RDA executive director, said in a press release,
“Supporting our local businesses into the end of 2020 is more important than ever...We hope this makes downtown shopping over the holidays even easier: Visitors can park once and walk to more than 100 retailers and restaurants.”
All six CITY owned ramps will take the voucher (not all ramps are city owned, like the one with the corkscrew exit next to the Kahler Hotel...that's privately owned). And remember, parking is ALWAYS free in the ramps after 5PM and on weekends.
Not all businesses are taking part in the program, so click HERE to see the whole list of participating businesses.
