Four Teens Arrested in Rochester After Early Morning Police Chase
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Four teenagers were arrested in Rochester early Tuesday after leading officers on a chase that began in the Country Club Manor neighborhood.
A witness heard an alarm from the Andy’s liquor store along 36th Ave around 1:40 a.m. and saw someone break the glass front door and get into a van. When the van took off, the witness called 911 and a county deputy spotted it heading north on West Circle Drive.
The chase continued to the north Walmart parking lot where the deputy broke off the pursuit. A short while later, another deputy spotted the van heading south on West Circle Dr and was able to get the driver to stop.
A 17-year-old was driving the van. He was arrested, as were three other teens - two females and another male - in the vehicle.
It’s believed the same group was involved in a similar burglary incident at the Apollo liquor store near Best Buy shortly before the other incident was reported.
It was also learned the van had been stolen.
