Hasting, MN (KROC-AM News) - Former Lakeville Middle School Principal Christopher Endicott was sentenced today to about 8 ½ years in prison.

The 51-year-old Apple Valley man earlier pleaded guilty to felony burglary and identity theft charges along with to gross misdemeanor counts of stalking. In addition to the prison sentence, Endicott was ordered to spend 10 years on probation and pay nearly $20,000 to the victims of his crimes.

Endicott was accused of illegally accessing personal and sensitive information about school employees and others that in some cases included credit card information. Endicott was also charged with stalking an investigator working on his case and breaking into a neighbor's home.

Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom commented: "We are pleased to have brought this defendant to justice for this disturbing criminal behavior that terrorized neighbors, family, and co-workers." Backstrom said that there were 18 total victims of these crimes.

Backstrom says the prison sentences longer than recommended by state guidelines but Endicott will be eligible for supervised release after serving a little over 5 ½ years behind bars.
