Firefighter Injured Battling Blaze Near Oronoco

Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News) - A member of the Pine Island Fire Department was transported to St. Marys Hospital after being injured while battling a residential fire Saturday night.
A news release says the Pine Island Fire Department responded to the 1200 block of 44th Avenue in Oronoco Township around 11 PM Saturday and found a home fully engulfed in flames. The Oronoco Fire Department was called for assistance and fire crews remained at the scene for about 4 hours.
An investigator from the State Fire Marshal was called to find the cause of the blaze. The injured firefighter was taken to the ER at St. Marys Hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
