Eyota, MN (KROC AM News) - A fire caused unknown damage to a home in Eyota over the weekend.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the fire broke out Saturday afternoon while the owner was running errands.

He told deputies he was gone about 30 - 40 minutes and returned to find smoke coming from the basement. It’s suspected the fire was caused by a dehumidifier that was running in the basement. The house is located at 219 Rena Belle St NW.
