Fillmore County Teenager Killed in Traffic Wreck

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Fillmore County teenager was killed in a head-on traffic wreck Thursday night.

The State Patrol says 16-year-old Kaitlyn Hansen of Canton was driving south on Highway 52 between Chatfield and Fountain around 8:45 p.m. when her car was struck by a pickup truck that crossed the centerline. Hansen died at the scene.

The State Patrol identified the driver of the truck as 55-year-old Cindy Mueske of Ashland, Illinois. She was taken to St. Mary’s for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The Patrol also says alcohol was detected in her system.
