Facebook Post Leads to Arrest of Rochester Teenager
Rochester MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester teenager who is on probation is in trouble again, done in by his own Facebook post.
Police Captain John Sherwin says 18 year old Devontae Wilson posted a video on the social media website earlier this week that showed him smoking pot and holding a gun.
Because he is a convicted felon, it is illegal for Wilson to possess a firearm.
When Wilson was spotted leaving his apartment Wednesday morning, he was stopped and a search of his backpack turned up a loaded handgun. He was arrested and is facing new charges.
He was placed on probation just last week for the earlier crime, which involved a similar Facebook post and a threat made to an Olmsted County deputy last October.
