Enjoy The Outdoors This Winter at This Southeast Minnesota Snow Tubing Hill
For the first time in 14 years, a southeast Minnesota snow tubing hill will open up for families to enjoy.
They have been hard at work revitalizing the hill to open the tubing hill for the first time since 2007, now under new ownership. According to their Facebook page, Steeplechase Snow Tubing in Mazeppa will have its opening this Thanksgiving weekend.
According to Steeplechase's site, the snow tubing hill will have over 750' of runs that tubers can enjoy.
The crew at Steeplechase has been hard at work fixing up the tubing hill and making snow so families can check out the tubing hill throughout the winter. Their first day open will be on Friday, November 26th. Their hours are Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday 10am-10pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm. Of course, those hours and dates can change throughout the season due to the weather.

Lift tickets are $13 for one hour or $20 for two hours. Those interested in purchasing tickets can do so here.
Rules You Need To Know at Steeplechase Tubing
If you are planning on heading to Steeplechase anytime this winter, you'll want to know a few things. First, all snow tubers must sign a waiver each day before a lift ticket will be issued, and only Steeplechase snow tubes are allowed. No other tubes, snowboards, skis, or sleds will be allowed on the hills.
Any minor that is planning on going snow tubing without a parent must have a parent-signed waiver pre-filled out before going to the hill to receive a lift ticket. Tubers must be able to pull their own tube back to the lift. Steeplechase recommends all tubers be 40" tall or higher and 4+ years old.
Steeplechase does not offer any food or drink, so you are welcome to bring some snacks and drinks for you and the family to enjoy while tubing.
It has been a long time since the hill opened up, but starting Thanksgiving weekend, families will be able to check it out once again.
