A family trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth" may just break the bank! Disneyland has recently increased their prices and have introduced the biggest change to the way tickets are sold.

According to a report by KTLA, the increase in price comes after the success of the newest addition to the park, "Rise of the Resistance" and before the opening of popular Avengers Campus slated to open at Disney California Adventure later this summer.

Single Day tickets varied in price from $104 to $154. The reason behind this is the different tiers and what Disneyland considers "Peak Days" according to their website. "A ticket is valid for one single-day admission on any date in the tier you select or any date in a lower tier." If you wanted to visit both parks on the same day, that’s going to add on to your total. The Park Hopper pass went up $5 making it a total of $55. So, going on a peak day and getting a park hopper ticket will cost you $209! A family of four is looking at a grand total of $836 BEFORE tax. Not factoring in any extras you may purchase in the park.

I was able to find my old Deluxe Annual Passport from 1998 and the total cost for that thing back then was less than $200. What do you think? Do you think the price for "fun" is getting out of control?
