Deadly Accident at Rochester Sand and Gravel Facility
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM NEWS) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department responded to a fatal accident Thursday morning at an industrial site near Stewartville.
A statement issued by Sheriff’s Captain Scott Behrns indicates a 911 call came in just before 11 a.m. about an injured man at the Rochester Sand and Gravel site along County Road 6 just west of Stewartville. The caller indicated it appeared the victim had been caught between two dump trucks while one of the trucks was backing up. The 28-year-old Rochester man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Behrns says his name and additional information about the deadly incident will be released Friday morning.
