COVID-19: Minnesota Has Topped 1-Million Tests
St Paul (KROC AM News) - More than 1-million COVID-19 tests have now been conducted in Minnesota.
The milestone was reached Wednesday as nearly 15,000 new tests were reported.
The Minnesota Dept. of Health says a total of 820,817 people had been tested as of Wednesday.
The department’s daily report shows five more COVID-19 deaths, including a new one in Olmsted County. The victim was a person in their 90s. The county’s total has risen to 22. The state’s total now stands at 1594.
The report also shows 745 more positive cases have been reported, increasing the overall total to 53,692.
Olmsted County reported 22 more cases, raising its total to 1567. As of Wednesday, the county was tracking 114 active cases. County health officials say the local seven-day rolling average has been declining over the past two weeks with a 34% decrease since the highest week of July 6.
