Congratulations, Vikings Fans
Well, it was bound to happen. My Packers lost to both the Bears and Lions at home this year. So why not the Vikings, too? It was a good game. Another that came right down to the last play and the team that wanted it more won.
As a Packer fan, I'm not happy about it. But I AM happy for my Vikings-fan friends. They're pretty excited about it, too, and for good reason. The Vikings will play a tough Seattle team at TCF but they're a team that CAN be beaten. They did lose to the Packers and, more recently, they lost to the Rams (7-9) at home so... Yes, they can be beaten and, in all honesty, I think they WILL get beat this weekend. I think the Vikings want it more.
As for the Packers, until their receivers can figure how get open and take some pressure off Rodgers and Eddie Lacy, or Starks can run the ball efficiently, they're going to struggle. Still, I think they will beat Washington. The Packers are so hit-or-miss right now and, yes, they're struggling, but they went into the playoffs in 2010 as the 6th seed and went on the road to beat Philly, Atlanta and the Bears and then win the Super Bowl against the Steelers.
With the playoffs, it's a brand new season and I'm looking forward to those two key games this weekend.
Either way, hats off to the Vikings fans, their team and especially their coach. Zimmer was a GREAT find for them. To take a team from 7-9 in his first year to 11-5 and division champs the next, is not an easy feat.
Side note: While at the pre-party before the game on Saturday night, I saw Adrian Peterson in the hall, walking away from the group I was with and I shouted, drunkenly, "Hey AP, will you take a selfie with us!?" His response, "Sure." With a big smile on his face. Nice enough guy.

If you're a Vikings fan, good luck to your Vikings and if you're a Packers fan, GO PACK GO!
