Another event has been canceled due to COVID-19, but not because someone has tested positive.

Chateau Speedway, located in Lansing, Mn, shared the unfortunate news that their races on Friday, August 21st, would be canceled.  Here's what they shared on their Facebook page:

Pause Button Hit On 2020 Season at Chateau Speedway
Chateau Speedway is disappointed to announce that they have had to hit the pause button on the 2020 racing Season for at least one week. This does not mean the rest of the season is automatically cancelled. A complaint was filed with the State about our Covid-19 Policy. The Track will be taking this next week to update that policy and look at other options and measures that can be taken. Therefore there will be no racing this Friday Night August 21st.
Track Owner Mark Wytaske said “I would really like to say we can be open on the 28th but that is not guaranteed”. Use of social media, Face Book and the Webpage, will be limited during the duration of the state involvement with our facility except to post events. This will be on a week by week basis. Word of mouth by fans and drivers will be relied upon during this time to help pass the word on the future dates each week.
Chateau Speedway Thanks there loyal fans and drivers during this time and looks forward to seeing everyone back out at The Track shortly.

Chateau Speedway - let us know when you are having the next race!  We've got a community calendar where events can be posted.   Everyone who has an event that they'd like the world to know about, get it added on our Community Calendars here.

We have a pretty awesome team that loves going to watch the races too!  Supporting local is what we do at Townsquare Media and we can't wait to see and hear the cars on the track again.

What would you rather do - drive a race car or fly in a hot air balloon?  Let me know by sending me a message on my Facebook page (Jessica On The Radio) or Instagram.
