Rochester, MN ( KROC AM News) - Rochester is dealing with its coldest weather since early March as temperatures plunged to 10 below zero Thursday morning.

And, the cold air was mixing with brisk winds to produce wind chill readings of 30 to 35 below zero.

There won’t be much improvement as temperatures will struggle to get above zero and wind chill readings are expected to remain in the minus 20s into Thursday afternoon.

It will be warmer Friday but the National Weather Service continues to track an approaching winter storm that is expected to produce several inches of snow.
