Being in radio, I've been fortunate enough to check MANY bands off my "bucket list." Bands like:

  • Ozzy/Black Sabbath
  • Godsmack
  • Aerosmith
  • Iron Maiden
  • Motley Crue
  • Five Finger Death Punch
  • Rob Zombie
  • Sammy Hagar

Just to name a few. Well, this being Rock Fest weekend, I'll be able to check another one off my list.

I've been a fan of Judas Priest since I was 11 years old. A friend of mine had just gotten the "new" Judas Priest album, 'Screaming for Vengeance' on vinyl. We had sat down to listen to it at his house as soon as it came in the mail and he was kind enough to lend it to me to listen to some more. I fell in love with that album. It was the coolest music I had ever heard.

Well, on my way home, I was holding the album wrong. The open slot was facing away from me and sure enough, that brand new album came rolling out of the sleeve and crashed on the sidewalk, breaking. It was just a small chunk out of the record but it was enough to make it so you couldn't listen to the first couple of songs on either side. I was devastated. First, I didn't have the money to replace it and secondly, I really wanted to listen to it again. DAMN IT!

Well, fast forward some 30 odd years later, I finally get to see Judas Priest LIVE and I couldn't be more excited. Granted, it's not the FULL original line-up but it'll do.

Who are YOU looking forward to seeing? Leave me a comment below.
