Byron High School will light the path for students thinking of a career in the medical field. Starting next school year, students can participate in a program to get their certified nursing assistant license. This will be the first course that will provide certification for Byron students.

According to KAAL, the program is through a partnership with Rochester Public Schools and is a semester-long class that will be held at the Career and Technical Education Center in Rochester. Each semester, 24 students will be able to take the class.

Byron High School shared the news on their Facebook page, calling it a "fantastic opportunity for Byron Bears students to learn, develop skills, and potentially begin their careers in the health field!"
