Did you know it was 28 years ago today that Bon Jovi rocked the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester?

The timing was perfect. Taylor Arena had just opened up and this was the first major concert at the venue. Bon Jovi was very popular at the time with the release of their "Slippery When Wet" album. Needless to say, the concert was a complete sell-out.

I was at the show and remember that they performed the song "Wanted Dead Or Alive" twice during the concert. The reason? They were filming it and planning to use the footage for a video of the song that was destined for major airplay on MTV.

During one particular scene, you can see people lined up just outside the Mayo Civic Center doors waiting to get in. I've cued the video up to that point (3:00 mark). Perhaps you can see yourself or someone you know in the video. Just look for the big 80's hair!
