Blues Traveler Coming To Rochester For Outdoor Show This Summer
The multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning band, Blues Traveler, is coming to Rochester Minnesota for a special outdoor show this summer. The jam band, best known for the mega-hits “Run-Around” and “Hook” will perform an outdoor concert in the Med-City on Friday, August 20th.
A press release explains this show will be held outside under the stars because "Mayo Civic Center is taking a cautious approach with events this summer by utilizing outdoor spaces when possible including Mayo Park to provide an additional level of safety for attendees."
This is the first show announced for Mayo Park (outside of the Down By the Riverside series) but it probably won't be the only concert this summer. The press release explained "The Mayo Civic Center team is actively working on more music and entertainment acts for summer and the remainder of 2021. More announcements are expected soon."
Joe Ward, president of Experience Rochester and Mayo Civic Center, said, “We are thrilled to safely bring back live entertainment for the enjoyment of Rochester and the region. It’s been a long wait. And there’s no better way to celebrate than with an outdoor summer concert.” For ticket information, head to www.mayociviccenter.com.
