No one knows how long the coronavirus outbreak is going to last, but officials in Minneapolis are preparing for it to last well into the summer months. The Parks and Recreation Board in Minneapolis has decided that all beaches, pools, and waterparks will remain closed throughout the entire summer.

On their website, the board explains the decision was made with everyone's health in mind, "The level of public congregation that takes place at aquatic facilities and the level of staff required to operate these facilities will make it impossible to open and manage these facilities safely this summer."
