Authorities Looking for Driver in Deadly Mankato-Area Wreck
Lake Crystal, MN (KROC AM News) – Authorities are trying to find the driver of a vehicle involved in a deadly traffic wreck in Blue Earth County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 26-year-old Dennis Egge of Mankato was driving on Highway 60 near Lake Crystal Monday afternoon when his vehicle was cut off by a Ford SUV that was going the same direction.
The State Patrol says the SUV may have made contact with Egge’s vehicle, causing it to go into a ditch where it rolled.
Egge suffered non-life threatening injuries but a passenger who was taken to Rochester St Mary's Hospital later died. She was identified as 20-year-old Jalynn Williams of Mankato.
The State Patrol says the driver of the SUV did not stop and as of Tuesday morning, had not been located.
