Hawass and Rogan sat down for a recent interview, where the two often clashed. Hawass seemed more focused on selling books and event tickets than answering Rogan’s questions.

In a podcast episode with Aaron Rodgers shortly after, Rogan said, “That might have been the worst podcast I’ve ever done.” Hawass responded publicly, “How can this man, Joe Rogan, not read my book before I arrived?”
Hawass has been accused by researchers of "gatekeeping" the truth about the pyramids and other archaeological findings. However, as a lifelong archaeologist, Egyptologist, and former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Egypt, he certainly has deep knowledge.
Hawass Coming to Minnesota
Dr. Zahi Hawass is coming to Minnesota to share that knowledge, just be sure to read his book first. “A Royal Evening with Dr. Zahi Hawass” is scheduled for Monday, June 30 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Tickets are on sale now, starting at $139.
According to the event website, the talk will include “all-new discoveries from Egypt’s ancient past.” Topics will range from missing royal tombs and the Valley of the Kings to the ongoing search for Cleopatra’s tomb.
