A BIG Rummage Sale Score

So, the wife and I went and hit up a bunch of rummage sales this weekend and I think I hit the jackpot. We hit up one that had a box full of old football, baseball and hockey cards from the 60's and 70's. "The whole box, $20" it said on a post it note.

Well, taking a page out of my wife's rummage sale barter book, I asked the guy, "Would you take $15" and sure enough, it worked. Not only were there cards in the box but old pins of some sort with some pretty old baseball players on them. I have yet to go through the entire box but what I've found is pretty cool.

And they're all in GREAT condition. I'm looking forward to going through the rest of the box, cards and buttons. If I find anything significant, I'll be sure to share.

I had collected baseball cards when I was a kid with a friend of mine. When I moved, I let him have the whole box. Over 5,000 cards. Stupid me. Oh well. Now I've got some old cards to go through. Not sure how much any of them are worth, if anything at all but it'll be fun to find out.
