We talked about the restaurants we had to bid farewell to. Now here are all the stores that closed this year. It was a tough year for sports stores and mall shops.

    The Gap

    They made the announcement in early December, with plans to be closed by January. They have a huge closeout sale going on now!

    Another clothing store in the mall closed up shop earlier this year. The company filed bankruptcy and closed several of their locations including the one in the Apache Mall.

    Dick's Sporting Goods

    Dick's was the first of two sports stores to close this year, announcing their closure in January after a 10 year run.

    Sports Authority

    Gander Mountain

    The company filed bankruptcy and announced the closure of 32 stores. At first Rochester's location was safe, but not for long.

    A Child's Kingdom

    Early this year, the owner of A Child's Kingdom retired to spend more time with family.

    Top Shots

    Top Shots suddenly closed in April for unspecified reasons. The owner of Legends plans on opening a new bar in that location.

    And one that has left many hearts broken, and fewer places for great live music - The Wicked Moose.
