5 Reasons Why You Should Never Move To Rochester
Seriously, Rochester can be the worst at times. THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING TO DO.
Just so we're completely transparent, this article is entirely sarcastic. If you're considering moving to Rochester, Minnesota - don't. I did a year ago, and it's been the worst ever since. I have five reasons to discuss which will "prove" my opinion.
- 1
It's SO crowded!
As of 2017, Rochester boasts a city population of around 110,000, and even more, live in rural areas just outside of city limits.
HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO GET AROUND WHEN IT'S THAT CROWDED!?
- 2
There's nowhere to hike!
I mean, we're only SO close to Quarry Hill, or Whitewater State Park. Why would anyone travel SO FAR just to hike? Seriously, there's nothing to do outdoors.
- 3
There's no community feel!
There's never any opportunity to feel like you're part of a community in Rochester. In the winter, you only have Social Ice and A Chair Affair to look forward to.
You'll notice this, especially in the summer too. Events like Thursdays on 1st & 3rd, and Rochesterfest certainly don't help!
- 4
Rochester hates animals
There are never any pet related events in Rochester. Forget things like Bark In The Park with the Rochester Honkers, or Dogs Downtown. Oh, and the numerous dog parks in the city don't help either.
- 5
The restaurant selection is limited
Rochester might boast at least 7 Indian restaurants around the city, but other than that, there really is no cultural options when it comes to cuisine.
Forget the numerous Mexican, Italian, Asian or Mediterranean places.
