In fact, one person is going to win an ice cream cake every day from July 5th through July 8th. All you have to do is give up one hour of your time. Ok...and squeeze something for just a few moments. You'll even get a cookie!

It takes about 100 donors every day just to maintain the blood supply in Olmsted County and unfortunately, we are in a bit of a crisis right now for blood and there are days the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center isn't even getting half that amount. Once holidays, like the 4th of July, show up on the calendar, it gets even harder to keep the supply up for those in need.
Stock up on that iron this weekend and plan on donating blood during the week of July 4th! Not only are you saving lives but you also have a really good chance at scoring an ice cream cake! One winner will be picked every day from July 5th through July 8th and all you have to do is register and attempt to give blood that week. Anyone that is 16 and older is eligible!
