Austin, MN (KROC AM News) - Rising cases of COVID-19 have forced the cancellation of the in-person learning model at Austin Public Schools.

Not students or staff - but bus drivers.

APS says “the difficult decision” means schools will operate under a distance learning period through March 19.

It hopes in-person and hybrid learning will resume March 22.

APS says some of the school bus drivers tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday and more were confirmed this week. At least a dozen drivers were affected and that forced the bus operator to suspend services.
