The Worst 4th of July I Ever Had Could Have Been Prevented...If I Just Knew and Came Prepared

Keeping our kids safe and happy on the 4th of July is one of my number one concerns as a parent.  Headphones are on the list because I realized a few years ago that one of my kids really had a tough time with the loud noises and the bright lights.  As the lights were flashing up in the sky with the big, loud booms all around us, he was in my arms, burying his head to hide from all of it and sobbing.

Today, we always bring sunglasses and headphones when we go see fireworks, and even bring these when we know that fireworks are happening at a baseball game or other event.  It has saved us from A LOT of extra tears and sadness.

Where You Can Find Sparklers and Glowsticks

If you are looking for sparklers and glowsticks, check out the dollar stores in the area.  We have found great deals on these fun items for my kiddos.  They sometimes have other items that light up too, which make the entire night fun for the kids and affordable for you.

What is a must-have item that you always bring when you watch fireworks?  I'd love to hear about it..  Please, send me a message on my Facebook page (Jessica On The Radio) or DM me on Instagram and let me know.
