There are three new teams ranked at #1 in the latest rankings from the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association.

12 teams from the region ranked in the Top 10 in their respective classes this week including four teams in Class A, two teams in Class AA, three teams in Class AAA, and three more teams in Class AAAA. 13 teams were ranked in the Top 10 last week. 

The new #1s this week are Russell-Tyler-Ruthton in Class A, Nova Classical in Class AA, and Wayzata in Class AAAA. Marshall held on to the #1 ranking in Class AAA again this week.

Below are the rankings for the week of September 25th.

Class A Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Russell-Tyler-Ruthton took the #1 spot from defending champion Mayer Lutheran this week. R-T-R was #3 a week ago but took down Mayer Lutheran, Minneota, and Kenyon-Wanamingo at the Class A showcase this past weekend.

Bethlehem Academy, Mabel-Canton, and Kenyon-Wanamingo remained at 4, 5, and 6 this week. Spring Grove moved up one spot from #10 to #9.

Fillmore Central received votes this week after a thrilling win against Rushford-Peterson last Thursday and a strong showing at the Class A showcase. The Falcons have a big matchup with #3 ranked in the Class AA Zumbrota-Mazeppa on Thursday.

Class AA Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Nova Classical took the #1 spot this week after taking down Pequot Lakes at the Class AA showcase. Nova Classical is 18-0 on the season and handed Pequot Lakes their first loss of the year.

Zumbrota-Mazeppa jumped up from #4 to #3 while Cannon Falls stayed at #5. Caledonia, who was #10 last week, fell from the rankings but still received votes.

Class AAA Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Marshall remained at #1 this week, while Willmar made the jump from #3 to #2. Kasson-Mantorville fell one spot from #2 to #3. Stewartville stayed at #4 and Byron fell one spot from #6 to #7.

Class AAAA Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Wayzata jumped back to #1 while Lakeville North made the jump from #3 to #2. Northfield fell Marshall (#1 in Class AAA) and East Ridge (#5 in Class AAAA) this past week, dropping them from #1 to #3. Lakeville South moved from #7 to #6.

Rochester Mayo and Rochester Century received votes this week, which means five teams in Section 1 Class AAAA out of the eight teams received votes to be ranked in the Top 10 in the state.
