Every athlete dreams of the day they score the game winning point and get carted off like a hero. Unfortunately for Troy Diggins Jr., it didn't go the way he would have liked.

Our very own Roy Koenig was the voice behind the call! With .2 seconds left on the game clock and the Oles down by 1 point to MIAC rival Augsburg, the scene is set for a dramatic finish and it was just that. Dominic Bledsoe inbounds the ball and finds Diggins Jr., who tips the ball in perfect volleyball fashion, to score the game winner to seal the 76-75! With the Ole faithful rushing the court, the ref on the far side signals the basket is NO GOOD and Augsburg wins 75-74.

No official explanation was given to why the basket was called off but in the video the ball is out of the hands of Troy Diggins Jr. and in the air before the buzzer so the basket should have clearly counted. Unfortunately there is no instant replay available at the NCAA D3 level or else the call would have been reversed.
