Rochester Man Arrested for Domestic Violence – Again
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man with a history of domestic violence is facing new charges.
Rochester police were contacted by a woman Wednesday who reported she had been beaten and held against her will by her boyfriend for several hours, beginning Tuesday night. She says she was able to get away Wednesday morning after 36-year-old Samuel Carlson fell asleep. Carlson was still there when officers arrived and arrested him.
These allegations are very similar to an incident involving Carlson in July.
In that case, he was accused of holding his estranged girlfriend against her will over a period of several hours. He was accused of beating her and threatening her with a knife during the ordeal. As in the new case, the victim in that incident was able to get away after he dozed off and called police.
Court records show he was convicted of two earlier domestic violence cases.
