As many of you know, Rob Zombie was at Rock Fest this weekend AND as many of you know, I think I spent more time on the stage than he did. BUT...there's a good reason for that. I knew pretty quickly that Zombie had been having issues with his voice. Coughing and such between vocals, etc. But I knew immediately that he wasn't going to do a whole show, once I heard him talk. He sounded awful, saying, with a terribly scratchy voice:

"I've never done this before. I can't even talk man. There's no way I can do the show. I'm sorry. It's f**kin' bullsh*t, I know. That's what f**kin' happens. We don't what to give you a sh*t show, I'm sorry. What can we do. It's MY fault."

Some people were calling "bullsh*t" on his throat problems. Well, judging by the pic below from Rob Zombie's Facebook page, it looks like a legit throat problem to me. Damn. I feel for the guy. And to those who were knockin' him on Facebook and Twitter, cut the guy some slack. He's human.

He said on his Facebook page:

I am very sorry to everyone who was at RockFest. Believe it or not this is the first time in 29 years I have not been able to finish a show. I have played through many many nights with a fucked voice. I knew it backstage but came out and tried anyway, but failed. I understand people are pissed, but what can you do? It is easy to say "man up and just do it" but when no sound is coming out there is nothing you can do. If you have ever lost your voice before, then you know it doesn't magically return just because you want it to. If there was a way to do the show I would have done it, as I have many, many times before. Fuck, I done shows where I walked to the side of the stage between songs to vomit I was so sick. Whatever. I'm not looking for sympathy and I don't expect anyone care but these are the facts.

You can read more on his personal page and be sure to give him a get well from us. kthx
