Minnesota Senators have, once again, voted down a bill to allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays, by a vote of 35-28. My question is, why? As long as we've lived here, I never understood that law. It's not that I visited the liquor store much on a Sunday when we lived in Wisconsin but if I wanted to, I could. Wouldn't Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota bring in millions in tax dollars every year? I really don't know. But, I think if a person wants to go buy a case of beer (or what have you) on a Sunday so they could watch the game and enjoy  a few beers, they should be able to. What is the reasoning for NOT letting liquor stores open?

Sure, you could go to the liquor store before Sunday but what if you forget? Nothing worse than looking forward to the game on Sunday, you go to the fridge and DAMN IT! You forgot to get beer.

I guess it's just easier to let the neighboring states get that tax money. What do YOU think?
