Mall of America Announces its 3 Stores That Will Be OPEN on Thanksgiving
So if you really need to go, here's the short list...
On Monday, the MOA announced that Macy's, Sears and the Crayola Experience will be the only three stores to open on Thanksgiving Day, with all other stores keeping their doors closed at the Bloomington, Minnesota Mega Mall.
However, the mall will open briefly for its annual event, "Walk to End Hunger," which ends around noon on Thanksgiving. But once that event is over, the mall will be locked until 5 a.m. on Black Friday and re-open to all would-be shoppers.
I understand that not everyone 'celebrates' Thanksgiving... Maybe some of those employees who work the holidays volunteer to and want that Holiday pay, or maybe they don't have family to celebrate with, but it still doesn't sit right with me.
I mentioned it in an earlier blog last month when news first dropped that the Mall of America would be closed, that it's definitely a step in the right direction. I personally think it would have made more of an impact if ALL the stores had remained closed, but whatever.
Maybe someday, but I doubt it.
All information about the mall's holiday hours will be posted on its website HERE.
