I gotta say, I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead. So, when I heard there was going to be another "Walking Dead-type show," I was pretty excited to watch it. We're three weeks in now and, in my opinion, it sucks. Sure, the original "Dead" took a little bit to get into, but I think with "Fear," they have too many story lines open.

The son has a drug habit, the daughter doesn't know what's going on because her mother wants to shield her from the situation. (The daughter is clearly 17-18 years old and, it would seem to me, old enough to know or old enough to figure it out by herself, but alas, she hasn't.) The stepfather is all over the place, the neighborhood has gone to hell and they're forced to stay in their house or within a six block radius and they end up passing their time by painting the living room.

Ugh. I've decided to give up on it. Last night's episode was the clincher for me. I don't want to give anything away so, I won't. But, I think I've given it long enough to be less like a soap opera and more like an episode of "The Walking Dead" and it has failed me.

Bring on the new season of TWD! As for Sunday nights, I'll spend those with Sunday Night Football.
