Can We Please Stop With The “What Happened Next Was Amazing” Crap!

Okay... I'm probably just speaking for myself but I, for one, am growing really tired of seeing the videos on Facebook and news websites that say something like:

"This Man Saved a Fox From a Trap and What Happened Next Was AMAZING!"

 

or "This Woman Gave Birth To a Baby but What Happened Next Was Heartwarming."

 

Ugh. STOP IT ALREADY!!!I'll admit, I clicked on a few of the videos when it first started happening...and yes, I was impressed but my expectations are MUCH higher now and the pay-off usually sucks. No wait. Not USUALLY... ALWAYS!

For instance, I saw a video that said "The judges made fun of him but then he opened his mouth and you won't believe what came out." NO! I know EXACTLY what's going to come out. Of course the kid has a beautiful singing voice. THAT'S the big pay-off? THAT'S why I kept watching it? ENOUGH ALREADY!!

If you REALLY want me to be amazed, share that same video with that same exact headline/teaser and then show me that cockroaches came out of his mouth or he started vomiting money and blood then a bear wearing a gold sport jacket popped out of there and started singing old Elvis tunes. THAT would surprise me...THAT would amaze me.

Or, thinking back to the man that let the fox out of the trap. In that one, the fox turned and looked at him then ran away. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED!! Next time, amaze me and show me that the fox did the moonwalk after it was set free or played a piano solo with it's busted ass paw then looked at the guy and said, "Damn, that hurt like hell but at least I can still play the piano." I would be AMAZED! I mean, HOLY CRAP, A TALKING FOX THAT PLAYS PIANO!!!

Or, how about those, "This bride and groom were dancing their first dance...and what happened next was AWESOME!"  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! It's no longer awesome because EVERYBODY is doing this kind of video where the song skips, then they do a choreographed dance to a certain song.   It's no longer AWESOME and it's no longer unique. STOP IT!!!! You want me to watch your AWESOME video, have the bride or groom call out the other for an affair right in front of everyone in attendance. Then he or she flips off the camera, dumps the table with the cake on it and says, "I'm OUT, M' Fers!" THAT would be awesome!

These videos are becoming more and more underwhelming. Borderline pathetic (in a "I want to get as many shares and likes as I can" kind of way) Can we all agree to just stop it? For the love of cripes....just STOP!!!!
