Target Raises Minimum Wage to $15

Target continues its trend of making headlines. The Minnesota based company has announced that it will be raising its hourly minimum wage to $15.

Starting July 5th, the major department store will increase the minimum wage pay for their hourly workers. This is the third change to Target's pay wage in recent years, as in 2017 it changed to $11 an hour and then went up to $13 last year.

Not only is Target raising their minimum wage, they will also be giving out a one-time $200 recognition bonus for front-line team members in stores and distribution centers across the nation. This is being done as a reward for providing customers with essential service during the current Coronavirus Pandemic. Target will also be proving free health care for virtual doctors visits, regardless if the employee in enrolled in the companies health care plan.
