Suspected DWI Driver in Olmsted County Reported Driving 100 mph
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - An Olmsted County deputy who was trying to locate a vehicle reportedly driving at 100 mph had no trouble finding it.
The driver nearly caused a head-on crash with the deputy’s patrol vehicle.
Several 911 calls about the speeding driver were received from rural Olmsted County around 4:30 pm Saturday.
The car was first reported in the area of Highway 30 and County Rd 8 on the south side of the Rochester airport. A deputy spotted the vehicle on County Rd 8 when the driver crossed the centerline as it approached the squad car.
The deputy stopped the car near Bamber Valley school and determined the driver was “obviously under the influence. “ A preliminary breath test confirmed the suspicion as it measured a reading of .26.
Arrested was 48-year-old Jennifer Burris, who had an Arkansas address.
